My personal journey with photography has led me to some surprising results.
I first started capturing images at an early age through my fathers 8 mm bolex home movie camera on summer vacations. During these excursions through repetition, I learned how to crop and compose images. Whether it was panning shots in the rockies or capturing a serene waterfall in granada, the emphasis was to shoot with a flow that connected one scene to the next. I've been fortunate enough to transfer these early taught concepts into my world of photography today.
My work is a never ending adventure. Im always looking for natural body language. Sometimes the simplest unposed moments can make for memorable keepsakes that mean more to that couple than you can ever imagine. If I see something that catches my eye, I go with it, thats my instinct to be that way. My ability to interpret relationships has helped in connecting with my clients.
I also enjoy shooting in new venues. The challenge of what lays ahead and how to manage what you have in front of you, thats exhilarating to me!
As photographers we are all responsible for showing our customers what great portraiture is all about. Tapping into the personalities on the other side of the lens is how I go about this task.
